Questions

Good to know

How much does Ting cost?

Ting Pro is US$49.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial, or US$9.99 a month. The app shows the price in your currency before you confirm. Cancel any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. The videos themselves are YouTube's, and always free to watch on YouTube.

Do I need to know any Chinese?

No. Ting starts beginners with their first words and real clips made of them. If you already know some, tell Ting your level and your first clips will fine-tune it.

Where do the videos come from?

From Chinese creators and shows on YouTube, played through YouTube's official embedded player. Ting never copies or hosts any video, and every clip links back to its creator.

Which devices does it work on?

iPhone, launching soon on the App Store. Watching clips needs an internet connection; your saved words and reviews work offline.

Do I need an account?

No. An account is optional and only keeps your progress if you change phones. You can delete it any time in the app.
